Categories: • Attendance & punctuality • Professional communication • Work ethic • Teamwork • Problem-solving • Safety • Tool competence (carpentry, plumbing, electrical) • Soft skills mastery (resume, interview skills, etc.) Share with student on how you see them doing at this point in each category.
• Is their resume polished? • Have they completed the Job Hunting Handbook sections? • Do they need another mock interview?
Did they complete their job preference form? Go over this form with them.
Some examples to ask student: • “What have you learned about yourself?” • “Where have you grown most?” • “What behavior/habit has changed the most since Week 1?”, offer what you have seen, how they have grown.
• Transportation • Tools/PPE • Childcare • Confidence • Workplace anxiety • Re-entry issues (if applicable) Info for addressing this can be found in the coordinator Google classroom.
Go over where the student has applied/interviewed so far and what the next steps will be in their job hunt. Student leaves with: • 3 employers they will contact • A job search schedule • A plan for follow-up with Training Coordinator • Any needed wrap-around supports
