- West Virginia Women Work has 20 years of experience training women for nontraditional jobs.
- We work with our graduates until they find employment. We won’t give up on you.
- Our program doesn’t require you to go into debt. Through funding and scholarships, tuition is free.
- The average pay for an entry-level manufacturing position is between $16 – $20 an hour.
- Hands-on training:
Learn the basics of high-tech (CNC) machines to make products used in medical, aerospace, pharmaceutical, auto, and extraction industries, students will manually machine projects on mills & lathes, learn to read blueprints, learn to measure and inspect products, and hand creates industrial components. Students will learn by doing instead of just watching. - Career Readiness:
Students will learn essential skills needed to prepare for, find, and keep a job including; resume writing, interviewing, job hunting techniques, effective communication, budgeting & credit, and a basic math skill refresher. - Industry Overview:
Students will have the opportunity to meet with female role models in the manufacturing industry and visit employers. They will also take courses at ToolingU online that were specifically designed to introduce workers to advanced manufacturing concepts.
The program lasts 12 weeks. This allows you to begin your new nontraditional career as soon as possible. Classes will be held in the Spring and Fall.
