Our program offers comprehensive, hands-on training in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and welding. You won’t be watching from the sidelines – you’ll be in the thick of the action, mastering these essential trades from the ground up.
Alongside trade-specific skills, our program prioritizes career readiness. We equip you with all the tools needed to navigate the job market successfully. From crafting compelling resumes and acing interviews to effective communication and financial management, we leave no stone unturned.
The SUFW experience is not just about skill acquisition – it’s about broadening your horizons. Throughout the program, you’ll explore various trades and career paths, meeting with former graduates working in non-traditional roles, union representatives, and professionals from commercial and residential companies. Field trips to construction sites and apprenticeship training centers will give you invaluable real-world insights.
Adding more value to your journey, the program also offers opportunities for critical certifications. By the end of your pre-apprenticeship, you will have your OSHA 10 construction safety card, a Plumber in Training license, an HVAC Trainee license, First Aid/CPR/AED certification, and a Forklift certification.
