ROLE WITH WEST VIRGINIA WOMEN WORK

The Regional Coordinator is responsible for the successful planning, execution, and management of the Step Up for Women Construction Pre-Apprenticeship training program through recruitment, business development, job development, & mentorship of students and alumni. The Regional Coordinator reports to the Executive Director.

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the program, including mentoring program staff, and managing facilities and equipment
  • Develop proposed improvements to program policies and procedures to ensure program effectiveness and compliance with applicable regulations
  • Lend expertise to the program via hands-on and skilled trades training
  • Provide individual coaching and career development guidance to program participants and alumni
  • Develop and maintain relationships with alumni to track their career progress and identify opportunities for continued growth and advancement
  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract and retain qualified candidates to the program.
  • Conduct outreach to social service agencies, workforce offices, and other community organizations to promote the program and identify potential participants.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with employers, unions, and industry associations to identify potential employment opportunities for program graduates.
  • Collaborate with other organizations and stakeholders to develop and promote apprenticeship and job training programs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, funders, and other stakeholders to advance program goals and objectives. 
  • Actively participate in the Alumni group on Facebook, consistently posting updates and content to encourage increased engagement and participation
  • Organize alumni events, providing an opportunity for former participants to reconnect and engage
  • Conduct presentations at schools, organizations, and career fairs to promote the program
  • Lead the development of the soft skills stand-alone training program
