Fuel the Workforce. Strengthen Your Community.
West Virginia Women Work is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and your donation is tax-deductible. But more importantly, your support is an investment in the people who keep our communities running. When you give, you’re helping train hardworking individuals for careers in the skilled trades—industries essential to keeping our economy strong and meeting the labor needs of our state. Every contribution helps provide hands-on training, safety gear, tools, and real-world experience that lead directly to high-wage, high-demand jobs. This isn’t just charity. It’s how we keep businesses staffed, paychecks flowing, and our communities working.

Where Your Donation Goes
Every dollar you give directly invests in West Virginia’s skilled workforce and keeps our communities strong. Your support helps cover the real costs of preparing job-ready workers through our Step Up Construction Pre-Apprenticeship Program. This includes:
✔️ Materials for hands-on training in carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work
✔️ Essential gear like tool belts, hand tools, and work boots
✔️ Support for union dues to help graduates enter apprenticeship programs
We focus on eliminating the financial obstacles that keep hardworking individuals from starting and sustaining careers in the skilled trades. With your help, students complete training equipped, prepared, and ready to work—filling critical roles in industries that keep our economy moving. When you donate, you’re not just supporting a program. You’re investing in the workforce that powers our state.

Help Us Fill Our Step Up Stash
Support the Step Up Stash
Fuel Focus. Remove Roadblocks. Keep Training on Track.
The Step Up Stash helps students stay focused on what matters—building the skills they need to start high-wage careers in the skilled trades.
By providing essential food and personal care items, we help remove the everyday challenges that can disrupt training and derail success. When students don’t have to worry about basic needs, they can give their full attention to mastering the skills that keep our communities working.
In addition to the Stash, we connect students to local services and resources, ensuring they have the long-term support needed to complete training and transition into the workforce.
How You Can Help:
Help us keep the Step Up Stash stocked and ready by purchasing directly from our registry. Your contribution helps prevent small obstacles from becoming big barriers, keeping future skilled workers on the path to success.
